Hi,

The screenwash on my 1996 MK3 Fiesta has stopped working.

The tank has had a slow leak for 6 months or so but the system still worked as long as I kept it well topped up. Now it's failed altogether. The leak doesn't seem to have got any worse (just a few drips down by the driver's side front tyre) but when I operate either the front or back screenwash nothing happens. There's not even the noise of the pump running.

Are the screenwash pumps on their own electrical circuit - is it possible I've blown the fuse by repeatedly running the tank dry? No other electrics seem to have failed.

Also, are you able to offer any advice about repairing the leak? I can't see any of the pumps or pipework from the top of the engine compartment.
