citroen xsara 1.6 automatic - gears slip and lights on dash flashing - gibson82

i have a problem with my car the gears seem to slip out and the sport and snow mode flash on the dash i would like to know what the problem is as i dont know anything about cars so i am stuck had new transmission fluid in from citroen but it hasn't stopped the slip and lights flashing

What year is the car, how many miles?

Is it a conventional fully automatic or one of these semi-automatic boxes?

When the fluid was changed, did it come out OK or did the garage report any problems?

When you say 'slip out' - do you get flare between shifts or does it just shift into neutral?

the car is v reg and on 95k miles it yes it does seem to flare out when the garage changed the fluid they said it played up a little but didn't say how it is a fully automatic many thanks
