Any vehicle - Electronic wheel alignment - focuskev

Hi,

Does anyone know if it is absolutely necessary to have this done everytime a new set of front tyres are put on?. Is wheel balancing enough?

Well, put it this way. I've bought many many pairs of tyres over the years.

I once had he tracking setup (mecganically) due to slight tyre wear and steering wheel not centred.

I think someone's trying to sell you a pup...........ebt

No its not. Its probably advisable once in a while, but not every time.

My mate works for one of the huge well known companies he has to sell a tracking and wheel balancing every day to meet the target figures, aswell as shockers and brake parts it's your choice if you want it most folk don't have a clue and say yes.

And here is the shocker once the gauges are on it's very rare it's ok!

Me only time it gets done is when the tyres are bald on the inside edge but remember power steering also does this to a small degree.

and speed humps to a larger degree !

I may be wrong, but I reckon power steering tends to scrub the outside edges rather than the insides.
