Ford Transit 280 - 2005 MWB - engine Gone? - Med

Hi everyone,

Ok... this morning we went to start the van up & everything went as normal but with a difference... The engine is making a loud banging, shaking noise like it constantly hitting something & there is a LOT of smoke coming from the exhaust when we accelerate (in neutral) we had a look at the engine, oil is fine, coolant etc all ok. but the engine is shaking like mad! The noise when it's revved rattles even more.

It's going to be booked in tomorrow but wanted the heads up from you guys first.

It's very difficult to explain but maybe i could emphasize on my explination after a few questions/answer from you lot.

either a faulty injector or a major mechanical failure.

i hope it's not major. Med has had problems with a Mazda6 diesel already!
