hi room, does any one know what the parking is like around the Queens medical centre in Nottingham? my mother has been diagnosed with heart trouble so i will be popping over to see her as much as possible over the next couple of weeks

im not one for paying extortianate parking charges , but i dont mind a bit of a walk if i can park nearby, time of day/evening is irrelevent cause ive got time off briefly so its not an issue

any help would be much appreciated...thankyou.....zoo

looks to be loads of free parking if you pull the place up on google maps and look for barrier free commercial premises

Just be careful in case the barrier free commercial premises are looked after by clampers.....

I bookmarked this free parking website ages ago because I thought it might be useful one day. I haven't ever used it, so can't comment on it.

QMC isn't a million miles away from say an Aldi for example ;-)

For that matter the city centre and the possibility to use public transport.

QMC is on the University campus isn't it so should have parking close by.

Parking at QMC is a nightmare. The multi-storey carpark was closed last year due to structural problems. There is some parking on the site, but not nearly enough. If you are really lucky you can sometimes park on Leen gate outside belle fruit (follow the signs for QMC goods entrance). Failing that, try down Lenton Lane -but be prepared for a long walk. Might be an idea to drop your Mother off first if she cannot walk too far.
There is a Sainbury's at castle marina, but I don't know how closely they watch for hospital visitors.

True, I know the place pretty well.

Depending on where you come from, and your circumstances, there is a free bus service which travels on a circular route which may solve your problems

You can park on my drive if you like and catch the bus door to door.
Only one bus, The number L53. It would take about 10 mins outside rush hour I expect.
PM me if you are interested.
