Quem dei volunt perdere prius dementant

Those whom God wants to destroy he will first drive mad, I think? :-)

"Those at the wheel of a Prius are demented" I thought? ;-)

I couldn't resist the pun on "prius".
It is usually rendered as
"Whom the gods would destroy they first make mad"
but "drive" is nicely appropriate in a motoring context. :)

Toyota are not daft, the reason Lexus is popular in the US is due to a recall (read Satisfaction by Denove and J D.Power IV). The Prius is a brilliant product that the likes of Honda have been unable to even get close to.
My guess is that Toyota will sell more cars than ever three years from now in the UK, whether they can stop Hyundai from becoming the largest car manufacturer is another matter.

Did anyone read the article in the Sun by Nick Freeman about driving cars with recall notices?
It mentions that if you're driving a car to the dealership with a potential fault say the brakes & you have an crash, you maynot be insured as a result & can be prosecuted for driving it on the road with the knowledge it has a potential fault.
You should call the dealer & insist they should collect from you, as you never know what might happen!

a recall is a general thing based on vin numbers , your car is going in for a safety CHECK, your car has not been deemed unroadworthy
please stop spreading roumours?
