Snake oil's been discussed in here several times before. Now it's claimed that you can save fuel just by plugging this into a cigarette lighter socket !
I won't be rushing to buy one.

A quick Google reveals another forum discussion in the US - I liked these from the US vendor's site:

Gas milage on my car has been excellent but now it's even better. Lights are brighter also.

Gas milage improved more than i expected! It's easy even for women to use. Radio plays better even outside the city and it's easier to drive going up hill. There are no more static electricity when it's cold."

I'm so glad it's easy for the fairer sex - driving is hard enough for them as it is (no, not really).

>>The blue LED will light up once the connection is made.

We all know what blue LEDs on windscreen washers indicate!

I quite enjoyed writing a review for it on Amazon's site though! What a ridiculous piece of garbage.

The size of the capacitor that that plug in device could hold would be way too small to make any difference to anything.
Indeed, some cars have large caps fitted to cut down on interference to the radio, caused by the car electrics.
This device is a total con.

the idea "in theory" is correct , however not much use on a car with a "large" battery,

on a couple of my older (brit) bikes , I have replaced the rectifyer/zenner diode , by a modern "boyer black box" , this is an electronic reg/rect that has a capaciter in the unit ,

as a bike altenator has 6 sets of coils , at cranking speed (kickstart) the pulses are to irregular to produce enough power. with the black box with internal capacitor , this smooths , and to a small extent holds the voltage ,

best not give them ideas , they will be making a waterproof bike version next

With the price of unleaded at £1.13 per litre it's got to be worth a gamble.

Hurry, Hurry!

Amazon have only three left in stock. Better still buy two, plug the other one in a spare 12v socket and save twice the fuel.

You know it makes cents.

So the neds with their 2 farad capacitors across their bass amp feed must be getting mega mpg

I am definitely getting one of them,...........when the car manufacturers fit them as standard equipment.

I like where it says it will allow the electrics to deliver a better spark for ignition! I was under the impression that the petrol / air mix in the cylinder is an explosive mixture, so as long as there is a spark and it's delivered at exactly the right moment, having a bigger spark wouldn't make any difference!

How does that work for a diesel?

Off topic, but the recent news about the 'snake oil' explosive detector shows that there will always be takers for any scam. I would suggest taking the instigator and leaving him in central Baghdad wearing a sandwich board announcing his activities...
