03 1.5 appears to have a whine in 2nd and 3rd gear - Fks
Have had me 2003 secnic 2 now for 3 years and recently have noticed that in 2nd and 3rd especially when going over 2000rpm a whine is coming from the gearbox ? yet when flooring it it doesnt appear noticable..... im starting to think £££'s with it.

Ideas please......

If its done anything like a high mileage its probably just wear, I wouldn't worry, it will probably do thousands more miles yet. Be a good idea to check the oil though.

45k just had full service over xmas so the garage i use did say wouldnt worry bout it but if it gets worse bring it back. its an ex motability only had 15k on when i had it so im thinking up down thru gears town driving...
