Hello. I've been looking into the software to remap my 2001 Passat tdi130.

Will a KWP2000 ECU flasher be suitable? And where is the best place to get the reprogrammed ECU maps?

Any help on this matter would be appreciated as I'm new to it.

Can't advise on what equipment to use, but by the time you've bought all the stuff, is it going to be much cheaper than using one of the established remappers like Jabba or Upsolute?

IIRC Upsolute is about £250 and done on your driveway, I know two Passat owners that were done this way and both were very pleased with the results.

was looking and i can get the flash tool and a cable for around £50.
i would like to get it done professionally but dont have £250 spare, also would like to learn how to do it myself, im into learning how things work etc.
really just after advice because i dont want to break my car in the process.
