91 Strange banging noises - stevied
Question for the more technically minded amongst you: my J reg MR2, which is running otherwise smoothly with 125K on the clock, is making a song and dance about road surfaces that are less than billiard smooth. It "pitter patters" and bangs on the smallest of bumps. The ride quality was always fairly dreadful, so I haven't really noticed a deterioration... any ideas? Dampers?

When I have had banging symtoms its been:

1. Perished bump stops on rear shock absorbers
2. Perished bushes on rear axle
3. Failed shock absorber
4. Badly seated spring
