Hi There,
Im really after some help. I have just bought a 2001 corsa 1.2 easytronic, i have had it less than a 4 weeks. It drove fine, no problems at all.
I came out this morning, and i had the flashing F. the car would not start, nothing. There had been no problems at all before this. I took it to garage and they said they couldnt do it, told me to take it to vauxhall, and it was likely to cost £1000 for new ecu! £1000!!!!!!!!
I have done a little research, and found out how to get the error codes. the codes that i get up are;
p1613 Immobiliser No Or Wrong Signal Immobiliser C-05
p1615 Wrong Vehicle ID from Body Control Module C-40
p1616 Wrong Vehicle ID from Instrument Control Module C-40
p0650 Malfunction Indicator (MI) Control Circuit High C-36
Could anyone please tell me what the solution is to my problem? also, why would this happen? all of a sudden, no warning at all!
Do these codes mean i have to get a new ecu? how and why would this fail? It has been raining heavily, i no this sounds stupid, but i really cant think of anything else it could be!
any help on this matter and i would be extremly grateful.

This could be the common fault of a poor connection on the back of the instrument pod.The instruments/gauges form part of the electronic "ring" for the engine electronics and immobilser system.Try tapping the top of the dash to see if the system re-starts.hth

thanks for the reply. i will try this, but even if this works, is this a long term fix? to make matters worse i can not open the bonnet, despite getting new cable put in 2 weeks ago! this car is useless.
