Can anyone tell me if my 2007 Ford Focus 1.8 TDCI has a DMF or not? I can't seem to find anywhere that specifies this.

I've got the latest Haynes manual, and it simply says some models have the DMF, others have another type of sprung flywheel.

My old 2002 1.8 TDDI Focus had a standard flywheel but I guess its not the same as that.

I have the same car and year. The threads on DMFs are abundant on here and I can remember someone saying the 1.8 Tdci doesn't have one. Though I still boot it on occasions to "clear"it just in case. I'm open to be corrected; best contact Ford.

Spood, you're confusing DPF (diesel particulate filter) with DMF (dual mass flywheel) I think.

Pretty sure it will have a DMF. 99% of recent diesels have them and most larger capacity petrols aswell.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't have a DPF, but DMF is another matter!

Like I said, even the Haynes manual is a bit vague about this. Maybe even Ford don't know!
