aafter many hours last nite trying to solve the probelm with my corsa i have now noticed that it is not puting any fuel into the cylinder closest to drivers side.it was dry inside after taking plug out.cracked it over and all the other 3 misted up fuel n could see the pistons were wet with fuel.i am having sum trouble as i have changed the engine saw it running in scrapyard was ok.but its running lumpy and not started when hot??had ecu read maf sensor injector throtle and egr valve.replaced all these parts now with old engine and no better exactly the same.i no its not running rite because it not getin fuel in the chamber.but why?ive changed everything.injectors fuel filter all of it.can it be the ecu is telling it to do this?i brought it with the engine running like this,so changed it and now still doin it.but used same ecu as it has the immobilser in the key fob and wouldnt start with the engines ecu so put old one on.what can this be everyone ive asked dont no.had it pluged in down my local garage help please someone out there must no what there talking about

Your appear to be pointing at a faulty ECU not firing that injector or a broken wire in the injector cable harness. Regards Peter
can the ecu do that?its only one having a issue.ive tried the wires replaced the whole wiring loom
how do you know you havent bent a pin on one of the ecu plugs?
cos ive tried two wiring looms now
just so i am clear here
your car is a 1.2
you took a 1.2 engine out (4 cylinders)
you put a 1.2 (4 cylinders )
back in?

If you have a meter check for a 12v feed on one pin on the injector connector. When cranking the other pin should pulse to zero ( be grounded ) if you measure between the pins you may be able to see the needle/digits dit. Normally to use a Neode Light to see the pulse as it is only gets grounded by the ECU for 20 ms or so. Regards Peter
ok thanks will try that in a minute.what about changing ecu i have a spare.but how u get around the immobilser in key fob?u seem to no what your talking about
yh 4 cylinder.same engine code.was out a w reg corsa.if it is the ecu.ive got the other ecu of the w reg.but how would i bypass the immobilser
you cant bypass it ive tried
you need chip in key/correct key reader that goes round the ignition barrel depending on who supplied the ecu and the ecu
without these 3 matching components an ecu from a breaker is basically worthless
out of interest where is the ecu on the 1.2 as ive never seen one,i know the 3 pot is behind the engine

o and car ran like this before engine change old engine was same.but the person be4 let it run out of oil so i thought it was just that causing the problems so changed engine but now i duno i am stuck
read my post i just put but it does sound like an ecu fault
ebay can turn up the 3 bits of the ecu chip and reader cheaply sometimes
no cheap breaking kits on there at the mo
some prices are just plain stupid too
can you borrow the bits off a mates car?
i swap things off other models when im trying to suss things
You have a duff ECU as it did it before you changed the engine. Either use the spare ECU and get it recoded by a dealer or send the duff ECU to www.bba-reman.co.uk and have it tested/repaired. Regards Peter

maybe able o get hold of the key and ignition barrel was local breaker.and saw it running so they have they key just hope they have the car.it definatly tht injector.just went up and disconnected tht one injector and ran the same with it of.will try scrapyard monday
you will need the key (with chip in it), barrel, ecu (engine) and immobilizer ecu/noidal readerunit (bit that go's around the barrel and underneath the steering lock)without all these parts it will not run,Regards TB

Lets hope your luck is in. Regards Peter
