Or gone fast enough to duck-and-drake himself across to the ather shore which doesn't look all that far away. He was obviously mimsing. 200mph would have done the trick.

That's why he's ashamed of himself, and I should think so too.

Seriously, is that repairable? Everything electric will be wet/corroded (salt water there?) and if he went in with the engine running and got a hydraulic lock there could be bent con-rods and the rest.

Do the same thing in a £20k car and it's a write off for sure. Do it again in a £1m car.... maybe repairable at a cost? But can you get enough of the spare parts for a Veyron?

I hate to think how much unnecessary damage the recovery bods did to it.

They shut the drivers door when it was still under water, ensuring another couple of tons weight was added when they dragged it out.

They appeared to use hooks round the wheels to drag it.

It looks like it was still in gear or got its handbrake on because the back wheels weren't turning (could have been the hooks holding them).

Well it did dive into a salt marsh. I reckon the best thing to have happened to it was sling it in a swimming pool and get a pool technician in to kill off the salt with chemicals.

OR is it so well galvanized ? or waxed for European type winters it will survive anyway ?

Or is it a write off no matter what.

I'd be interested in your views.

I think the rear wheel was not rotating because the tow rope was attatched to it.

Either a freak chance in amillion to be getting filmed, or something fishy going on.

Though, with hindsight I would guess that a lot of Veyron owners are probably filmed by car fans every time their car moves?

In the video of it driving, it doesn't look like the spoilers were raised but in the video of it being towed out, both are!

I wonder if this is a safety feature built in, we can't give you a bluetooth but we will help you to be aerodynamic when you float!!
