Hello all
The cracked ring (on front axle) causes juddering when braking at low speed.
To get round this problem is it feasible to . . .
1. Remove the ring altogether ?
2. Disconnect the sensor ?
Thanks in anticipation. Regards, JobyTug

But you're not getting a fault? Sounds like a warped disk but I'll take your word for it.
1. You'll have no abs.
2. You'll have no abs.
Some success has been made by gluing the ring back on with araldite etc. There's also someone selling them on ebay, unfortunately not much less than a new UJ but made of sterner stuff.

If your ABS isn't working, won't that cause a warning lamp on the dash?
If so, then it's an MOT fail. Disconnecting the light will also probably cause an MOT fail!

Thanks for coming back Steve. No, no fault and I've seen the broken ring - it's still in place but split.
You've given me some ideas to be going on with and anyway, I'm a careful driver these days (!) consequently not that bothered about ABS. But this low-speed judder is b annoying particularly when going down a steep hill.
Thanks again. Regards, JT

consequently not that bothered about ABS.
Your insurance company *may* well be if you were involved in an accident and they discovered it wasn't working.

You might be a careful driver, I am too, but there's no accounting for other people and, as the man says, your insurers could conceivably use it as an excuse not to pay out, regardless of circumstances.
A link for you www.reluctorrings.com/peugeot.php

Sounds like a new set of front discs and pads and a new reluctor ring. The brake judder is not what is causing the judder. Regards Peter
