I met an old bloke thirty years or so ago and he was regaling me of tales during the `horse age` I wondered then at the changes he had seen during his life..
Think back further, decades with little change and then centuries of sail with what seems incremental change during an observers lifespan.
What about now though?
What age would you consider a person to be and in which decade during the motor age to have seen the most change?
Is it us now? 60+ and dealing with current motors.

My dad was 51 when I was born. He was born in 1907, three years after the Wright brothers managed their first flight.
He saw passenger airships, he taught himself to drive on a Morgan three wheeler, never passed a test, never had an accident either, became used to flying on jet airliners on business trips, saw Concorde and sat up with me to watch Neil Armstrong walk on the moon. He got through dozens of cars, including some interesting ones like a 4.0 litre Buick with running boards and went on eventually to be a Volvo fan. He had five or so of the 144 / 244 series. I suppose he saw quite a lot of change.
