car geos into gear but will not drive somebody help me please

car selects gears ok but all i get is a clicking noise from the gearbox it was a new clutch fitted only a month ago but it wont actualy drive the car. someone said it could be a circlip in the box. do you have any idea what this could be

Drive shaft Splines are known to fail - especially if they haven't been put back in properly? It only takes one to fail to lose all drive.
