05 1.9 TDi Engine Management Light problem. - tony g
My Skoda Diesel 90 Tdi Estate suffers with an engine management light problem,The car is the mark one.The eml comes on at various times.but seems to have the ability to clear itself, especially when the car has been stood overnight.
The effect seems to be that it shuts off the turbo, reducing power and acceleration.a friend has read the cars ecu when the light is on,he used a bosch ecu reader.
two faults are shown.4C69,a solenoid valve and 462D a booster valve.Unfortunately his system does not have information on how to correct the faults. However he can clear the faults which stay off for a short while.Has anyone any idea how to permanently sort these faults.any help would be appreciated. tony

These are not proper VAG fault codes or descriptions, you need to get a VW fault code reader plugged in, such as VCDS.

Cheers andy, problem appears to be sorted,The mechanics said that the valve was very gunged up.one of the flaps was pemanently open because of it,They used petrol to clean it out and a small screwdriver,to remove the harder deposits , regards tony.
