Will my car run on rapeseed oil? - Angiebabe
I have just acquired a Vauxhall Astra Merit 1700 TD which has done 190000 miles. I am wanting to try using vegetable oil has anyone tried running a Vauxhall on it. Can anyone give me some tips. Waiting your replies.

me thinks year wrong at top and this is old type astra
however with the kind of economy these do i would be only using real diesel in it,especially at this king of mileage

Unless you have an inside source, new rape oil will cost more than Derv. Filtered waste cooking oil may be free/near free in your area, and may work in some cars. Go to vegetableoildiesel.co.uk to check.
