95 1.2 Engine wont start after engine swap - mex
hi all
i am in need of desperate help, i have two corsas one 94 year one 95 year
i have put the 94 engine in the 95 one as the engine was blown in it
now the engine wont start, the 95 one has an immobiliser so i have disconnected it and are using the ecu from the 94 one still wont start,
i have 12v coming to the king lead on ignition but when i crank the engine the volts drop
there is no spark at the plugs but the fuel is getting through
i have taken the crank sensor plug off and there is 12v coming out
i tried the wire in the centre of the plug to earth as explained in an archive of this forum and the king lead sparks
i have tried towing the car off but nothing
any ideas would be appreciated,
cant afford to take it to garage as on the old dole and parents need it off their drive

put the original ecu back on (battery disconnected to do this)
double check all connections are on the engine
check to confirm the eml light on the speedo head doesnt flash as you turn the key to position 2 prior to cranking
crank and it should start

swap the crank senser over from the blown engine too as you knew this worked prior to blowing it up

prior to removing the engine the crank sensor was working fine before the engine blew.
i've tried the different ecu and the eml flashes constantly i got the diagnostic tester and flashed no fault codes, the engine still didnt start.

Which is indicating an immobiliser related fault then.

Hi,
Yes for that ecu, i have bypassed the ecu in this way.

I'm using the ecu wiring loom and ignition barrel from the corsa i took the engine out off.
Shouldnt this bypass? as the corsa which blew the engine didnt have an immobilizer.

when im using the ecu and wiring loom from the other corsa the eml doesn't flash on and off it just sits normal.
Whats the best thing to do ?
