Can any one give advise on how to clear bad emission readings. Its the carbon monoxide that seems to be the problem. The car has been low on fuel and was stood around for months, could bad fuel be making it run rich? Would it help to fill the car a give it a good blast?? Can anyone help?

You could try changing the oil & filter, and also the air filter.

If old or taken on moisture where it's been stood around, then it's not going to be very good for the engine. I don't know the chemistry, but old oil can also affect the emmisions I beleive.

also check your pipe to the map senser for a blockage as this would cause rich running equated to having the choke out
