00 1.8 Window Wiper / Washers problem - b6een
Front window wipers switch on for no reason whatsoever even when they are on intermittent, they go to normal sweep, also my windscreen washers are not working front and rear, checked fuses, all seems in order, thought it may be the wiper stalk so managed to take it apart, all contacts seemed ok, cleaned it up and away I went, scooshers still didnt work then 5 mins into journey wipers switched on.... aaaahhhhh

Purchased a used wiper stalk on ebay cos a new one from the dealer is a small fortune, same happened again, now unless I am extremely unlucky and have 2 faulty stalks I am thinking its the pump (cant find one on ebay and not buying from dealer)...but why is it shorting the wiper..... or is it the ecu? has anyone had this problem or can anyone help, thanks
