Weirdness today.

Went out to the Volvo after it had been parked for about 25 mins. Could hear a fan running which I thought was the rad fan, but on closer investigation turned out to be the heater blower. Unlocked the car, and sure enough, the fan was blowing away merrily. The fan was completely unresponsive to the control on the dash (manual air con, not climate). Switched on the ignition, and the fan suddenly came back under control of the dash control. Switched off the ignition and the fan quit as normal.

I'm guessing it's some kind of Canbus strop, but any ideas if this is a sign of impending problems? Never seen anything like this before.

Cheers

Perfectly normal. It's done to dry the evaporator thereby stopping the build-up of mold and bacteria.
