Hi guys, I've got a Grand cherokee 4.7 auto with LPG converted. It's currently developing a problem with auto box.
Everytime when I engage the "D" gear, there is clunk noise coming from gearbox( or rear diff???), but it is fine on selecting "R" gear. It still drives all right but seems not as fast as before and it standing starts from 2nd gear rather than 1st sometimes.
I pluged coed reader in and and it showed the following fault codes:
1. P0884 power at speed
2. p0733 Gear ratio error in 3rd
3. P0731 Gear ratio error in 1st
4. P0734 Gear ratio error in 4th
5. P1790 Fault immediately after shift
6. P0715 Input speed sensor error
7. P0218 High temperature operation avtivated
Anyone has any idea if it could be the fault of Gearbo ECU? as I've been told it is a common fault on this model.
Thanks a lot

Hi
I would start with the input speed sensor and a trans oil and filter change (2 oil filter). The input speed sensor would give you faults 2,3,4 and 5. and I would do a oil and filter change because of code 7 as the trans is in limp mode you have got the oil hot and I would expect the oil to now be burnt.
