The 10w40 and 15w? on offer too usually use castrol magnatec engine oil in all cars but its about £25-35 for 4litres !! Ford quoted £33 for there own oil only.
Also need some 235/60/16 w tyres from costco * or cheaper* are there any offers for 4 or 5 michelin or goodyear etc tyres ?

I have used the VX oil in many cars, and it is a very good price for fully synth. Think it may be BP Visco 7000 or Texaco. In Ford engines for a long time 5/30 in the correct oil.
Can you ring Costco and get a price, they usually have some good deals (inc Mobil 5/30 or 0/40 fully synth for £22. I find small indy tyres dealers very good for tyres, if you build up a good relationship over time. They always do a deal on 4 or 5, but take their advice on other quality tyres which they may be able to get on offer from a wholesaler - like tyre which is now old model replaced by new model.

What engine?
I've used GM 10/40 Semi synth in 1.3 Enduras for the past two years without any trouble. I now use it in my 1.2 Corsa which ironicaly is the first car I have had which is designed for the stuff.

I've been using GM's 5-30 in my Volvo D5 S60 for the past year and its been fine, as you say its good value for money. I buy 3x5ltrs and get a fourth one free, works out at about £15 for 5 litres

hello all
Thanks for the advice . The drain plug is jammed so no oil change yet!
I have also seen Havoline 5ltr Oil at Morrison for about £15.00 for 5w/30
cheap oil for those that still need to buy( dont know if suitable for Fords).
Rang Costco for tyre prices quoted £119.00 for one tyre but told these
are for 4 wheel drives ? The w speed rating was not stocked said an
alernative one was vr ?? and the cost for these were £220 approx each
A different card for £25 more entitled 25% off the cost of 4 tyres .
Any more comments welcome!

Are you saying a Ford Ka has 'W'rated tyres ?????....that's a 150 mph+ rated tyre....or is the thread title wrong?
If the drain plug is jammed then I'd do the same as me, use a ' laser oil extractor' 40 quid from Screwfix.
