I have a vectra 2000 Model 1.6 engine Z16XE. Done only 70K
I just bought the car and its ECU light started coming on. I have noticed that whenever this happens the care starts to miss at constant foot pressure (accelerator). It?s better at high revs and higher speeds.
The Code retrieved is P0400 EGR valve redistribution.
The EGR Valve has been changed and also the EXHAUST Manifold has been changed (£300.00) as it & Cat both were having a crack.
I have got the car serviced (oil and air filter changed) by paying £150.00.
Don?t know what else I should do . Don?t want to go to VAUXHALL due to huge Bills:-(
The light Goes off sometimes or Stays on. Either case not a very very smooth drive.

it needs an indepth diagnostic check.
find out who near you does this.
it might be the airmass meter or blocked exhaust or coilpack breaking down.

while i dont disagree with noddy ive had a run on maf sensers this month and they are on offer on a famous internet site at £28 delivered.
So it might be a quick fix for you at less than a diag (READ CODE READ ) at most places , that usually comes up with a spurious code usually linked to bank 1 meaningless rubbish or similar (ive got the teeshirt)

The diagnostic was done using a very good and professional machine, And it was p0400 .
