00 1.8 ABS indicator always on after battery chang - vwzaggle
I change my battery two months ago and the abs indicator since then was on all the time when I am driving. Would appreciate some advise how to sort this out, thanks for reading.

are you sure it wasnt on before?
it needs to be code read and poss erased,it might be just a matter of a compter bein plugged in and resetting the system,i know that airbag lights do this.
i always thought that abs systems were self checking on start up!
anyway get it to a garage that does fault code reading and get them to plug it in and see.

the abs go's through a self check routine every time you turn on the ingnition, check to see if the brake lights are working (daft as it seems if they all fail ((bulbs) then light comes on on dash) if the light go's out but comes on after moving then its a wheel speed sensor, if it come's on and stays on then abs module fault, both ways mean a code read is needed, unless you are handy with a dmm, Regards TB ps there is an over charge system in the abs module (if it detects the alternator is over chargeing then it will stop to much voltage getting to abs unit ) it may have an over charge fault that just needs clearing !!!

Thanks a lot, I was hoping it was a simple fault that I can fixed, but it seem a code read is needed at the garage.
