There is a rythmic rubbing sound from my MX5. It is most noticable at about 40mph and becomes one continuous noise at about 60mph. I have stripped each brake down and there is nothing obvious there. I thought I had tracked it down to the Diff. but I have now fitted two 2`nd hand units and the noise persists. Has anyone had a similar experience or any ideas.

How about a wheel bearing. Regards Peter

Do MX5s have speedo cables? If so, that may be wearing through especially if it has been re-routed improperly at some time.
