Ford Fiesta (1995 - 1999) - 96 1.8D Heater Problem

96 1.8D Heater Problem - pullgees
The heater was giving out hot even though the electronic switch was on cold.
I bought a second hand coolant valve unit, (The thing with four pipes connected to it with a solenoid fixed on the bulkhead), swapped them over and now its giving off cold air even when the switch is on hot. Presumably they are both faulty or could it be the heat adjuster switch?

yes

although ive never had a problem as far as i know with the switch but have read they do go faulty
i weighed one in yesterday ,shame you could have had it
