Hello all, first post for a while.
Here´s a good one for any of you into cross-European routes and routing.
We´re heading out from Frankfurt across France to Argenton-sur-Creuse, just north of Limoges.
I´m keen to stay on the German autobahn network as it´s free, and to avoid Paris which is where the TomTom seems to try to send me past.
I was thinking Saarbrucken-Metz-Troyes, round Orleans and down, or maybe comeinto FRance at Mulhouse, cut round Dijon, across to Avallon-Bourges and Chateauroux. Probably a bit longer, slower and cheaper.
Anyone got any bright ideas? Flying not an option (babies, bikes and surfboards on the roof).
Cheers all
Barchettaman
ps obv. the babies aren´t on the roof too.

I presume you mean Frankfurt(Main) not Frankfurt(Oder)?

How about this.
Use the Nationals from Besancon to Chalon-sur-Saone, then to Paray-le-Monial and Vichy. Cut across the top of Clermont-Ferrand via Riom and then head west into the Massif Central towards Limoges via Aubusson.
Your route just seems a bit flat and boring relative to what France has to offer.
Hope this helps. Bon Route!
