any ideas where it could be sticking
also is it easy to change the oil on this car

The throttle cable has probably frayed somewhere in the casing, would advise changing it sooner rather than latter as could leave you stranded and a phone call to the RAC! plus its cheap to do.

Look under the car and you should see a nut on the sump, it'll either be on the flat or on the rear edge. Jack the car up on the opposite side to this and put wood or blocks under so that the car cannot fall. Undo the nut with a big tub to catch the oil in, remove the old filter and leave to drain for 15mins or so. Put a new oil filter in and replace the sump bolt. Fill with required amount of oil.
