I'm in the market for a cheap new (or newish) run-around. However, I'd like something which has more in common with cars from the nineties than the noughties. I like to open up the bonnet and not be blinded with science.
So what, if anything, is still being sold as new, but has its roots firmly in another era. The Corsa and Ka seem likely candidates.
I'm not at all bothered by badge snobbery. I just want something cheap, reliable and easy to work on.
Thanks!

Our Aygo looks to be very easy to work on - it appears everything can be accessed without dismantling half the car first, even things like water pumps and the alternator.

Thanks ... I'll look at this. I guess I'm just looking for a re-badged Mk3? Fiesta.
