Hello again!
TO remove the radio, all you need is the special radio removing tool that Halfords sell. They come in pairs and look like a length of coathanger bent into a U shape.
I've removed my Rover radio and fitted a CD player, although what I did was to cut off the existing connector and fit all the bare wires into block connectors. With the aid of a wiring diagram in a Haynes manual I then connected the CD player to the correct wires.

DONT CUT YOUR WIRING LOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!
You can buy a connector from Halfords that connects to the manufacturers loom at one end and has an ISO plug on the other end.
Most new car stereos have an ISO socket so the unit simply plugs in and away you go!
When you sell the car, plug in the original unit to the original wiring. Easy!

What make is the radio? It would make it easier to help you.
If it's a Philips/Grundig/Blaupunk, then the holes are usually plugged with grub screws. You'll need an allen key to remove them.
If it's A.N.Other brand then you'll probably need to remove some kind of cover from the facia of the radio.
