To try to stop this car stalling at speed I would like to shield the ECU from electronic interference (to remove one possible reason).
I intend, if possible, to make and fit a Faraday cage over the ECU - but I can't find it !
Anyone out there who can tell me where it is?

And earth it to what. ?? That's the problem. It may already be in a matal can and bonded to the chassis so wrapping it in bacon foil is not going to help. Do you have wiring diagram for the car. ? Regards Peter

please explain what you mean by stalling at speed ? does it idle a little rough sometimes ? how many miles has it done? as these V8's really suffer from timing chain issues causing all sorts of problems & its better to get the chain checked & replaced if neccesary before it snaps .
As peter say's trying to shield the elctrics may make matters worse as some are already shielded from one end & if you put more earths on it you may multiply your problems!. Has it got the right sparkplugs fitted ?

sorry just seen the other post. i would check fuel pump realy & wiring to pump. jaguar had a habit of putting connectors in the loom to the pump & they used to get a high resistance. Check the fuel filter as well as a restricted one can overload the pump & wiring
