Varadero XL125- Views? - NickS

Does anybody have any experience of Honda Varadero's? Having recently passed my CBT, i am keen on the above, but dont really know what to look for.

Budget is about £1500, so presuming something around the 2001 mark would be in range?

Where is best to source them? I am watching a couple on ebay, one of which has done 34k miles, is that likeley to be an issue?

Great bike. Small engine - big bike looks. I bought one and practiced for the test. Sold it on again when I passed my test for almost the same price as I paid. Be careful of a high mileage bike. The engine is high reving and partner this with high mileage could be inviting trouble. Best of luck and ride safely.

I owned one in 2002. Great bike, really comfy, enough grunt for two up riding, will do 80mph if given a run up and no head wind! Used to do 200 miles to a tenner. Lovely smooth engine.

You could in theory use this as a perfectly good bike after passing your test, if you felt so inclined.

It really is a small big bike. Loved it!
