can you drill a small hole into the side of the filler plug head and insert a level to turn it? Just a thought...... else I think replace the entire bottom of the sump with a new one and fresh plug/washer.

Have you tried one of those spanners/sockets that fit anything regardless of it's misshapen appearance?
Is there room to get a pair of Stilsen's on it? You know the thing, the harder you pull on the handle, the harder it grips the nut.

It's probably time for the extreme measure, ie, hammer & chisel.
Most tight treads will break with a shock. Have you tried a suitable chisel blow on one of the corners (are there any left ?) of the hexagon, with another on the opposite side ? You will need a new plug anyway so, the "cuts" which the chisel makes won't spoil the plug.

Hit it with a hammer and very blunt chisel, or a large screwdriver where the shaft goes right through the handle.
Get the angle right, and the combination of the shock and the turning force will usually get a stubborn nut moving.

I'm a slow typist you see, John.
