my drivers door speaker has stopped working any ideas????

Gain access to speaker by removing grill or door card, plug in known good speaker. If that works, speaker is blown. If it doesn't I'd be checking the wires between the body of the car and the door for continuity. They may have broken after 10+years of the door being opened.

Apart from faults to either the radio or speaker,check the wiring connector on the door A post .(round plastic connector)Very common for the wiring to corrode/rot and break.hth

Also check balance/fader settings on the stereo - in case someone else has altered them.
