Renault Megane II Sport Tourer (2003 - 2008) - 05 1.9 tailgate lock inoperative

05 1.9 tailgate lock inoperative - ex-Triumph man
The tailgate on my son-in-law's Megane estate will not open. It would appear that the lock solenoid may have failed. As the tail door can not be opened, is there anyway the taildoor can be opened from the inside, please?
When you operate the remote blip to open the taildoor, the hazard lights still flash. There is no clicking noise from the solenoid either.

Managed to get the tailgate open at last. It is the old old story, when all else fails, read the book of instructions. Seems part of the lock can be accesed from inside the car and you just insert a screwdriver.
Son-in-law off to Renault dealer Monday for a new solenoid.

Problem solved. No parts needed. Renault dealer traced non functioning tail door lock to a broken wire adjacent to the rubber harness boot between the roof and the tail door at the N/S hinge.

ex-Triumph man Cheers for posting your fix!!!! The electronic switch for my Meganes boot stopped working, after reading your issue i checked the wiring loom from the boot door to the main body (top left) and the wire had also broken.
