how about the angle of a 6 year old having to get up on his own, get dressed, leave the house and enter the big wide world........(and steal the car after he's missed the bus)... all whilst the parents are too lazy to get up and properly look after him
I think the car is a sideline, albeit an important one.
It would be different if he was up earlier than his parents on a non school day, was playing in his room (or so they thought) and unknown to them sneaked into thre garage and stole the car unexpectedly.. but this little lad was expected to sort himself out on a a school day.. and 6 is still quite young

Im with WestPig on this one.
Mum was still in bed, too lazy to take child to school.

Mum was still in bed too lazy to take child to school.
And the dad was...? The kid could have got up and dressed with his dad's supervision before he left for work.

the really annoying thing about it is the parents didnt even have to do him any breakfast

i was under the impression the breakfast at school thing was designed for kids who's parents went to work early and weren't available to feed them....not those too lazy to get up and ensure their kids are properly looked after. Maybe it's different in the States and there is a whole culture thing with the kids having breakfast with their mates etc.. but i'm sceptical

It was good thinking. If the child had been killed in an accident the breakfast would have been wasted.
;-)

The selfish brat could have got up ten minutes earlier and made his poor mum breakfast, inconsiderate or what? Kids today eh.

The presidency of the FIA is yours for the asking!

In the US, it is illegal to leave a child under the age of 11 unsupervised. The authorities are very strict on "child neglect" and in such cases will immediately take the children into care and then ask questions later.

Had it been a manual car, could he drive it so easily?
