03 1.8 Removing front headrests - Malcolm_L
Hi folks, could anyone advise on how to remove front headrests from a 2003 Focus, the rears come out ok by pushing the release tab, but the fronts only come out so far and then come to a stop.,

Bought the FIL new seat covers for Xmas and he can't fit them without getting the headrests off!

Look at the other headrest post without the release tab and you will see a slot in the plastic cap.Carefully push a small screwdriver into the slot to release the spring.It can usually be done with the tip of the ignition key.hth

I was also struggling with removing headrests until I had a look on honest Johns forum and followed the instructions on this link.thankyou very much this actually worked.
