1999 1.6 Brake lights - tamcox
Just wondered if anybody can help me??

My niece's just phoned me saying that she has no Brake lights only the one in the middle of the boot which is on permanently,

Just wondered if it might be either a fuse or relay,Or a straight short,

Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated.

go to the local car shop and get two 380 bulbs and fit them
to fit you will need a tox driver to remove one screw and the is a finger nut just in side of the boot you will have to feel for it undo remove lamp holder change the bulb and refit

It's quite possible that both bulbs have gone and one of the filaments has dropped down and shorted on the tail light filament, causing the permanent connection through the brake light circuit you describe.

As eastenddoy sayd, check and replace the bulbs as necessary as a first step.

Update.

She has checked the fuse and that is ok,

So I'll get her to get 2 new bulbs and try that,But she told me that she thought they were ok,

Thanks for eveybody help,Just seem strange that both might have gone,
