Hullo.
We recently replaced the HCValve in my Fiesta as the engine was overheating. But since doing so the engine is showing a low and fluctuating operating temperature. It gets to the middle, then dips, then gets back up there... It doesn't move very fast but it doesn't stay still much either.

Any ideas why this might be happening? This is over the course of a 40 minute journey to work.

DO you mean you changes the thermostat. If you do then I suggest it is faulty, does it take a long time to heat up in the mornings ? Regards Peter

Yes the thermostat was changed as well as the HCV, and it doesn't take an inordinate amount of time to heat up, its just not staying hot consistently.
