2004 1.8 SVE with Sat Nav (screen not working) - chad20056
My factory fitted radio set on fire. I bought a second hand one, which works fine but there is no display on the centre column screen. This is proving to be a real headache as the Sat Nav wont show up and the Air Con is now on all the time and I can not turn it off, Nissan want a hefty sum to look at it which is money I just don't have. Does anybody have an Idea as to why the screen wont come on and the air con wont turn off any help would be most appreciated.

Does the existing screen have to be married up to the replacement stereo for security reasons? I know on the Vectra-C is has to be, which supposedly makes the theft of the stereo less appealing.

which part of the country are you in ? when I inquired at my local Nissan in North London about retro - fitting a reverse camera to work with the central screen of my 04 X Trail , they just gave me the details of their local mobile auto - electrician . Maybe you can try the same approach ?
