I am having problems with my engine cutting out while driving.
All of a sudden its like my engine isn't getting gas or something.
I don't think its missing but maybe. Could it be a fuel injector going out?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't recall a fuel-injected Beetle available in the UK - are you sure it's not carburetted?
Once it cuts out; how do you get it going again?

I had one that suffered from carb icing;found a leak in the alloy hose that came up from the exhaust.

Sorry...I am in US, California.

Also....It never dies completely, its as though its not getting fuel. I just keep on the gas and eventually it comes to life again.
The one time it did it the worse I was stopped on an incline.
Does anyone know what the sympoms are when a fuel injector is going out?
Thank for all your ideas!

I see; it's more a temporary loss of power?
I've no idea what an emission Beetle would have had in the way of injection - nothing like it ever made it over here. The 412LE was the nearest, but that was the "flat" air-cooled lump like a Transporter's.
Things like fuel filters come to mind; when was it last changed?

Not sure. I'll look into it thanks
