94 1.8 ECU protocol? - Javalin

Hi All,

Anybody know what protocol (i.e. CAN, ISO15765-4 (CAN), ISO14230-4 (KWP2000), ISO9141-2, J1850 VPW) etc that the 66kw ABS Petrol engine - single point injection ECU would talk?

I am after something to read/graph/record/etc the live data (TPS,O2,CKS,etc) from the car. I've looked at VAG-COM but its a little on the expensive side....

Looking at the ELMSCAN 5 products based on the ELM electronics IC.

ah ok - its KWP-1281 (used on VAG till year 2000 - then it went to KWP2000)...
