I have a 2005 Peugeot 407 1.6HDi SE. I would like to know how to set the radio to use an MP3 player. It has 2 aux imputs that can be used. Apparently, acording to the handbook, it can be done by taking it to a PEUGEOT dealer.

If it's the same as a C5 then yes it's a dealer activated input, you need someone with a Actia/Lexia tool probably.

Is this something you can get from 'tinternet, i.e a program? If so, where can I obtain it?

If a dealer tool then very expensive £600+ perhaps. You could try ringing local autoelectrical services or diagnostics specialists or just ask the Pug dealers how much to do the deed. Have you asked on a Peugeot owners forum if any locals have a tool?
