Skoda Fabia Diesel - Terry
My Fabia is now 9 months old and i find the idle speed is set to high[just under 1000] does anybody know how to adjust this,it has no cable link to pump,as i use the car for driving lessons its a bit fast round corners in 2nd gear regards Terry
Re: Skoda Fabia Diesel - Tom Shaw
Not sure about the Fabia, but my Driving School Saxo Diesel idles at about 800rpm. If you have not used a diesel for tuition before, I can tell you from experience that it is often nescessary to use first gear for corners that a petrol engine would normally take in second. Due to the greater torque of the diesel second gear tends to push the car a bit too much at low speeds.

That is correct on this model
