Does the speedo get checked as part of the MOT.
In other words if my speedo is not registering/moving I will still get through MOT ??

MOT and the Speedo - oldnotbold
I bought a Nova for £200 with a speedo that read about 50% too high. It had a new MoT that day.

My horse lorry has passed three tests without the speedo working. I know, however, that 1250 revs = 30mph in top, and 1500 revs = 30 mph in third!

But how would an MOT tester know that it was reading "...about 50 per cent too high...""?
