I've replaced the Sony CD/radio in my car with a JVC model KD-S621; plugs on back are identical but whilst both CD and radio work OK the electric aerial does not.
Can anyone shed any light on this please?

IIRC the wire that controls the leccy aerial is a thin blue one, i'm sure some of the aftermarket units have that wire floating free, whereas the one that came out was probably inside one of the plugs or vice versa, have a nose for a lonely light blue wire HM.
On the other hand i'm probably completely wrong...again...

The plug might be the same, but does the JVC have a power aerial pin that plugs into it?
Does the JVC provide pwer aerial output?

It is blue with a white stripe coming from the JVC.
May be labelled as remote (on).
Also used to switch on an amplifier if fitted.
