97 1.6 dip in power around 3750 rpm - Carton
Hi,
I have a petrol primera with 150k miles. It continues to run very well except for a power dip of some sort around 3750 rpm.

When accelerating in say 3rd gear, the car will accelerate smoothly up to this point, then the power seems to dip for a split second and then push on again past this point.

Any thoughts on what might be causing this?

Many thanks,
Carton

I would imagine a dirty MAF sensor.

There is a MAF cleaning guide for the 1.6 but I recommend you ask for advise first.

Hi Primera97,
I had a quick look at that site and it sounds promising. Many thanks for your help.
